is Ukrainian photo-artist, one of the founding members of phenomenon, later to be known as Kharkiv School of Photography. In 1971 together with friend Jury Rupin started a group known as Vremia (Time) which was formed by such masters as Boris Mikhailov, Oleg Maliovany, Oleksandr Suprun, Gennadiy Tubalev, Oleksandr Sytnychenko and Anatoliy Makiyenko. Group was an eminent centre of provocative photography in the Soviet Union and one of the first Ukrainian artist voices heard behind Iron Curtain. Evgeniy Pavlov had gone rich artistic path from shooting first male nude performance in USSR (Violin 1972) and obstructive documentalism to post-religious frescoes, depicting both everyday life and other side of our reality (Second Heaven feat Vladimir Shaposhikov 2003).
Works of the artist presented in numerous museums, including Centre Pompidou (Paris, France), Museum of Fine Arts (Houston, USA), Contemporary Arts Center (Cincinnati, USA), Zimmerly Art Museum (New Jersey, USA), Cincinnati Art Museum (Cincinnati, USA).
